Living Waters Inc announces the 2022 Mental Health Summit

Living Waters Inc, a faith-based nonprofit, will host the 2022 Mental Health Summit in Charlotte NC. The event will be held on Friday, September 23rd, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

This year’s summit will focus on Bridging the Health Equity Gap for Children and Families to Heal from Grief and Loss. Studies show that in most racially and ethnically diverse populations, their support system is lacking in resources due to the health equity gap.

Grief and Loss could be the result of:

  • Family separations
  • Job/ Business loss
  • Injuries or illnesses
  • Deaths
  • Violence and Abuse
  • Racism and Injustice
  • Tragedies locally or abroad
  • Work/School pressures
  • Incarceration
  • Inadequate or inappropriate healthcare

The 2022 Mental Health Summit will promote awareness, dialogue, and partnership concerning the health inequities and disparities that keep children and their families from the help they need to heal from grief and loss.

Healthy Blue, Mecklenburg County Public Health and ReCAST Mecklenburg are our partners for the summit. 150 registrations are complementary courtesy of Mecklenburg County Public Health & ReCAST Mecklenburg.
