Arlana Sims, PhD
Dr. Sims is the Chief Executive Officer of SIMS Consulting & Clinical Services, Inc. which serve individuals across nine counties in the state of North Carolina. She is an experienced psychotherapist that specializes in child and adolescent behavioral therapy, military families, trauma, addiction counseling, parenting, and counselor training & supervision. Dr. Sims e is also an adjunct faculty member at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s graduate program in Counseling. She has extensive clinical experience in a variety of behavioral health settings both public and private.
Dr. Sims holds a PhD in Counselor Education from UNC-Charlotte. She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, (LCMHC) a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS), and a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS). She has three years of teaching experience, reviewer for the Council on Accreditation, and a member of the Clinical Advisory board with Cardinal Innovations. She has presented at local, state and national conferences in the areas of ethnic identity, addiction, and multicultural issues within counseling. SIMS Consulting & Clinical Services was also honored by SAMSHA for innovation in culturally relevant treatment.
