Howard S. Olshansky, MSW

Howard Olshansky is the Executive Director of the Jewish Family Services of Greater Charlotte, Inc. (JFS).   He is responsible for furthering the JFS mission to strengthen and empower individuals and families through professional counseling, programs and services inspired by Jewish values. Howard oversees the operations, assessment, collaboration and development related to all of our programs: The Counseling Center, Senior Outreach, My Solutions Case Management and Community Support Programming.

Howard is a career social worker with over 30 years of non-profit leadership, community collaboration and creative revenue diversification experience. He has led numerous organizations including Boys Town, Nevada, The Children’s Place at Home Safe in West Palm Beach, The Arc of the Piedmont in Charlottesville, Va. and The Arc of Palm Beach County. He was also executive vice president and chief operating officer of The Ostroff Group in Boca Raton, overseeing operations and providing consulting services primarily to Jewish nonprofits in the areas of fund development, organizational development, strategic planning and marketing.

Howard is passionate about engaging in community initiatives that impact the quality of life for people, especially those in need, in our community. He has a MSW in Social Work from Temple University and a BSW in Social Work from Penn State University.
